How PATH strengthens advocacy networks and drives action for better maternal and child health programs

Despite significant progress in child survival and maternal health over the past decades, many countries, particularly in Africa, are still facing challenges with millions of preventable deaths. While child mortality rates have declined, progress in maternal and newborn health has stalled in recent years, primarily due to inequities in access to quality and affordable health care.

PATH is working to address these disparities through targeted advocacy efforts to improve the continuum of care for women, children, and families. We work with decision-makers at the highest levels, leveraging our technical expertise to inform policies, and we strengthen advocacy networks across geographies to help drive action at all levels. By equipping advocates with tools, strategies, and platforms to drive change, PATH’s maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH) advocacy initiatives secure investments and hold stakeholders accountable, ensuring all mothers and newborns can access lifesaving health interventions that help them survive and thrive.
